Army appeal for the homeless Many of us admire the Salvation Army's social work, but often feel it is not something we could undertake. However, here is one way we can support them in their vital work among Keighley's homeless, A box is available in the vestibule for your donations, which we will take to the Salvation Army Citadel in Keighley. Items particularly welcome: Tins of rice pudding, ready to serve custard, meat or fish, baked beans, Big Soup (preferably ones with ring-pull openings) Why not look out for 'Buy one... get one Free' offers which means you can donate items at no extra cost to yourself? NB. There is No Demand for tinned vegetables (peas carrots) nor tinned fruit or fresh produce. However, If you have sleeping bags which your family no longer need, or young men's clothing, then do please bring them along. |
