Flower
rota:
People often put their name on this rota against a date of a loved
one's birthday or anniversary. The flowers are on display during the
church service and are taken out to people who are ill, lonely,
isolated, or in need of our support. If you would like to be part of
this, please put your name down against a spare date on the Calendar
in the entrance. If you know of anyone who would welcome a gift of
flowers from Church please let us know.. Also whether you can deliver
the gift on our behalf.
Taking our gift of flowers out after the Sunday Service.
Envelope scheme and gift aid:
If you would like to support the Church on a regular basis, via the
envelope scheme please ask one of the Stewards. If you pay Income Tax
and are willing to "Gift Aid" your donation, the Church can
claim 28 pence for every pound you donate. A useful source of income
without any extra cost to yourself.
Giving out of hymn books/notices at Church on a Sunday:
As you come into Church each week, you will be welcomed and given a
hymn book and our weekly printed notices. Sometimes there will be a
service book (e.g. for the service of Holy Communion etc.), a hymn
sheet or extra notices, invitations to the coffee mornings etc. This
is an important part of our "welcome" to everyone coming
into Church on a Sunday.
Playing the organ.
Our organists are Paul Spencer, Judith Baren, Joyce Kidd, Shirley
Shackleton.
"Born in song, God's people have always been singing".
Other voluntary work within the church, such as helping out with
events.
